This project focuses on creating a community center for resettled refugees in Buffalo, NY.

DNA is the fundamental molecule that carries the genetic information responsible for the development and functioning of an organism. It’s what makes us who we are. While our cultures, religions, or values may differ, DNA links us together. Like DNA, the goal of this design is to connect, heal, and inform the people in the space. Social areas like the communal kitchen and lounge are meant to bring people together, private areas and prayer rooms offer a place for reflection and healing, and the library and classrooms provide resources for learning.
